Recently read John Lyall's again. An absolute gent of a guy and a great manager.
Mark Ward's is one I forgot to mention, that's a good read and most of the Boys of 86 stuff is always good to reminisce.
McAvennie's is brilliant, so many funny stories, especially him and Dicksie jumping on a milk float during a pre season run and attending Live Aid the day, or day after he signed for West Ham and wasn't recognised by anybody, how times have changed!

Preston North End supporter I have ever met.

Currently on hols but thought I'd recommend Lee Howey's book as I've just finished it.
Great title- Massively Violent and Decidedly Average.
Cracking read. Right up there with the best in the 'category.
Vince (Hilares) is less good - promised much but ultimately didn't deliver that much. Bit like his career really. You get the sense he knows it too.
Shout out too for Martin Kelners 'sit down and cheer'. A look at the history of sport on tv. If you've read or listened to any of his output before (or even paid the £1 for his 'piss poor podcast' (his title not my review)) you'll be familiar with his style and hence this is a very entertaining book.

A good read that as is McAvennies book. Obviously West Ham wise Ron Greenwoods, John Lyall's, Bonzos, Trevors etc are all good reads and makes you wonder what the hell has happened to our Club!! I'm reading TC's at the moment all about his failed takeover bid. Pity he didn't succeed really although maybe he is best off out of it!

Not exactly an autobiography as such but a football book none the less is “ all played out “ by Pete Davis about the 1990 World Cup . One of the best books I’ve ever read .

I went through a spell of reading a few of these but haven't done for years. I have Keane's but have never read it, but may do now.
Some good tips on here, Pearce's is good, he reckons he told his wife that she would never come before football.

I enjoyed Mark Ward’s autobiography, a cross between Roy of the Rovers and The Wire, would recommend.

Seconded re: "The Greatest Footballer You Never Saw." Not particularly well written but soem amazing stories.
Also, it's fiction, but i loved "The Damned United." The film was a load of shit in comparison, but the book reads like American Psycho mixed with I Am Zlatan.
